LAVORAZIONI

THE VINEYARDS

From Barbaresco and Vaglio Serra, to Neive and Treiso. Rabajà di Bruno Rocca’s vineyards cover a surface area of 15 hectares on the Langa of Alba and Asti hillsides. The company’s philosophy, based on a careful nurturing of the land, can be witnessed on all seven plots of land: from the historic family vineyards of Rabajà and Trifolera, in Barbaresco, to the vineyards in Fausoni, Cadet and Currà in Neive, Pajorè in Treiso, and Vaglio Serra. The wines which reflect their unique characteristics are: Nebbiolo di Barbaresco, Barbera d'Alba, Barbera d'Asti, Dolcetto, Langhe Chardonnay and Langhe Rosso.

RABAJA' VINEYARD

This is where the family’s Barbaresco story began. Purchased by Bruno Rocca’s father, the vineyard was planted in 1964 and completed in 1978. The land cultivated in Nebbiolo has a south-westerly exposure and is chalky-clayey with bluish marl. The grapes planted here are used to produce Barbaresco Rabajà.

VIGNA TRIFOLERA

Presente a Barbaresco, è un'altra vigna storica dell'azienda. L'appezzamento ha un'esposizione a sud, e il terreno argilloso accoglie dal 1978 le viti atte alla produzione di Dolcetto d'Alba.

TRIFOLERA VINEYARD

Situated in Barbaresco, this is another of the company’s historic vineyards. The plot has a southerly exposure, and the clayey ground has been home since 1978 to the vines used to produce Dolcetto d’Alba.

CURRA’ VINEYARD

Purchased in Neive in 2002, this is the most recent vineyard. With a south-westerly exposure, replanted in Nebbiolo, it contains a small area of old Barbera d’Alba vines, planted in 1972. The chalky-clayey ground on this plot is used to produce Nebbiolo di Barbaresco.

CADET VINEYARD

It is here that most of the company’s Langhe Chardonnay is produced. These vines, approximately 20 years old, have a south-easterly exposure, and are fed by the clayey-tufaceous ground of the Neive territory.

PAJORE’ VINEYARD

The vineyard in the Treiso territory was bedded out with Nebbiolo vines in 1988.The structure of the Barbaresco Coparossa is the result of the vineyard’s southerly exposure and the characteristics of the clayey, sandy ground, with a presence of crushed stone.

Vaglio Serra VINEYARD

Bruno Rocca’s Barbera d’Asti is produced in the Langa of Asti. Purchased and replanted in 2000, the land has a southerly exposure and is rich in red clay and sand.
